SUNNYVALE, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Dec. 7, 2005— AMD (NYSE:AMD) and Dogan Online (DOL) today announced availability of the Minicom Personal Internet Communicator (PIC), a complete Internet access solution that includes system, keyboard, mouse, monitor, pre-installed software, Internet connectivity, full service, financing, and support. The Minicom PIC is an innovative consumer device designed to provide users easy and affordable access to the vast amounts of educational, entertainment and communication resources available on the Internet.

According to the State Statistical Board, Internet penetration in Turkey is low -- approximately nine percent. DOL, the country's largest Internet access provider, is committed to extending Internet access and educational opportunities to a larger number of Turkish citizens.

"The Internet is an incredible resource for education, communication and entertainment and we at DOL continue to look for ways to provide more Turkish citizens with affordable access," said Orhan Goksal, chief executive officer, DOL. "With the minicom PIC, we are able to provide consumers with a complete solution to not only access the Internet, but to expand educational and business opportunities."

Together, AMD and DOL are providing consumers with an online experience that is simple and enjoyable. The Minicom PIC bundle includes a device, software, and connectivity services to ensure customers have everything they need to communicate with family and friends, tap into informational and educational resources and explore all that the Web offers. Specifically, Minicom PIC consumers can now:

-- Use e-mail to stay in touch with friends and family across the globe

-- Access the Internet to gather information for school, work and entertainment without leaving home

-- Use productivity tools including spreadsheets and word processors to manage personal and business activities as well as complete school assignments and projects

-- Access standard image and graphics documents to efficiently view and share maps, instructions and pictures from a variety of sources

-- Use multimedia to watch news clips, play games, listen to MP3 music and enjoy other entertainment options.

Running on a Microsoft(R) Windows(R) powered operating system, Minicom PIC is bundled with Internet service from e-kolay.net, DOL's ISP and portal brand, and is available through micro-financing programs so customers can quickly and affordably connect to the Web. Additionally, the Minicom PIC's rugged, fanless design is easy to maintain and helps resist viruses, adware and spyware, significantly lowering the cost of maintenance.

"We have seen solid user adoption in the regions across the globe where PICs are already available and we are proud to bring this innovative device to Turkey," said Dr. William T. Edwards, senior vice president and chief innovation officer, AMD. "We recognize the immense potential that Internet connectivity can provide Turkish citizens, and are confident that the affordable, easy-to-use Minicom PIC is ideal for first-time users."

Launched in 2004, the PIC is part of AMD's 50x15 initiative, a program to connect 50 percent of the world's population over the Internet by 2015. The PIC is the first of many solutions AMD and its partners plan to offer to increase global connectivity. Internet service providers in Brazil, the Caribbean, India, Mexico, Panama and now Turkey are leveraging PICs to deliver affordable connectivity to consumers throughout the world. Development partners include Microsoft, Samsung, Seagate and Macromedia.

Pricing and Availability

The Minicom PIC is currently available starting at 19.95 TRY per month, including Internet service and support. For more information, including where to buy, visit www.cominicom.com and more information on DOL please visit www.dol.com.tr.
